Description

This four page report gives an appraisal of the economic value of the work being done by the Penland Weavers and Potters and the Penland School of Handicrafts around 1937. The typescript is not signed but it appears to have been written by someone connected to the craft school, probably Lucy Morgan or Bonnie Willis Ford. The report may have been compiled for publication or perhaps for an address. Of particular interest is a paragraph on the role Penland had undertaken in providing craft training and advice to the Cherokee.
