Description

In this letter George Radcliffe, Special Adviser to the Secretary of the Interior, Thomas MacDonald, Chief of Bureau of Public Roads, and Arno Cammerer, Director of National Park Service, propose a route for the scenic parkway. Their recommended route is a Virginia-North Carolina-Tennessee route starting from Shenandoah National Park and ending in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and Cherokee, North Carolina. Construction plans for this proposed parkway are also discussed.
