Description

This 1933 panorama was created by putting together two photographs from the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club collection. The images, taken from Barnett’s Knob by Dutch Roth, include notations identifying 21 mountain peaks in the distance. The photograph was made by Albert Gordon "Dutch" Roth (1890-1974), an avid photographer and leader of the first official hike sponsored by the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club in 1924.
