Captured in this photograph is a westward view from the ridge which connects Mount LeConte with the state line. The back of the photograph is stamped “Jim Thompson Co. Knoxville Master Photo Finishers,” indicating it was probably printed by hiking club member James E. (Jim) Thompson (1880-1976).
