This 1928 photograph shows three members of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club sitting inside of a tree, and one member holding a log beside them. On the reverse of the image is written, "Along the Mt. Le Conte trail, via Rainbow Falls Feb. 1928 Elizabeth Houston, Gurley Jett, Clara Gartrell, Simon Davis, Photo by Dutch Roth." Albert Gordon "Dutch" Roth (1890-1974) was an avid photographer and one of the founders of the hiking club. The picture is in the collection of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club.
