Description
Arch Rock is on south side of Mount LeConte, near Alum Cave Bluffs in the lower part of Huggins Hell. This photograph was taken by Albert Gordon "Dutch" Roth (1890-1974), an avid photographer and one of the founders of the Smoky Mountains Hiking Club. The club was formed after a group of outdoor enthusiasts hiked up to Mount LeConte in October 1924. Mount LeConte is the 3rd highest peak in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, topping out at 6,593 ft.
