Description

This series of photographs is of Sion Thomas Early, builder of the Mingus Creek Mill. The mill is located in the Oconaluftee River valley, now within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Mingus Mill was built in 1886. Early did the work for John Mingus, a son of John Jacob Mingus and completed the mill in three months for a cost of $600.
