Description

These three editions of the same brochure were written and distributed by the Appalachian National Park Association. The booklets list multiple reasons to support the “establishment of a national park in the mountains of western North Carolina.” Printed in 1899 and 1900, the booklets range from 11 to 12 pages each. In its earliest days, the association favored siting a park in western North Carolina, but soon broadened its mission to expand to other states. A fourth edition was printed under the name “Appalachian National Park: Synopsis of work accomplished.”
