Description

In this letter from September 29, 1924, George Washington Carver writes to Mrs. J. Henry (Margaret Gillespie) Slagle thanking her for her correspondence and expressing his joy over knowing her son, Thomas (Dick). Carver offers his hope that Dick will do well in his studies and describes his wishes for Dick's future in science, hoping that he can continue to be a mentor to the younger man. He also offers gratitude for Mr. Slagle's improving health and expresses hope that it will continue to improve.
