Description

In this letter of September 17, 1874, James W. Terrell writes to his daughters, Mollie (Mary Jane “Molly” Terrell Teague, 1859-1934) and Sallie (Sarah Ermina “Sally” Terrell Bird, 1861-1943). He discusses his work on an Indian court case. The trial closed and the case will move to Asheville. He congratulates Mollie and Sallie on their profession of faith and encourages them with scripture. He misses his family, but hopes to return home in a week.
