In a letter to Horace Kephart on November 25, 1918, Horatio W. Bishop asks when Kephart’s article will be published in “Field and Stream” featuring his sketches. Mr. Bishop states his concern that the sketches may be on a smaller scale for reproduction purposes. He advertises his sketch of a new sleeping bag utilizing the O. D. Zephyer Cloth and highlights the benefits of the Kapok mattress. Bishop finally inquires of Kephart to send him a “sketch of the 12 ounce tomahawk from his summer hiking outfit.”
