In a letter to Horace Kephart on February 19, 1919, W. B. Knoble sends Kephart a “Seattle Times” newspaper clipping that he thinks disproves that Daniel Boone’s rifles have been located and accounted for. The article explains that Mr. Rafter of Wisconsin owns Boone’s flintlock rifle and brought the gun to a hardware store for repairs.
