In this letter of March 9, 1945, Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) writes his mother, Laura Kephart to update her on his family. Barbara, Ralph, and Jane are visiting with their children. He fills her in on the grandchildren as well as his work, which is supposed to be slower, but is busier than ever. He suggests ways in which she can come and stay with him for a bit over the spring and encourages her to do so. He lets her know what everyone is doing now that the war is over. His son-in-law is still in the army and may stay there, Buddy is working in the cement and building materials business, and his wife Frances quit her job with the Bureau to help Jane with the children.
