Description
Jerry Day is interviewed by a Smoky Mountain High School student as a part of Mountain People, Mountain Lives: A Student Led Oral History Project. Day grew up on a farm in Nantahala. After he was drafted, he volunteered to join the Marine Corps and discusses his time in Vietnam where he worked in the adjutant’s section. He shares his life after the war, including marriage, college, children, working at Nantahala Power and Light for 31 years, and his grandchildren.
