Description

Amy opens the show with a story about the flood of 1940 in Jackson County, followed by Milan Miller’s song, “The Flood of 1940.” Doreyl interviews Brenda McAfee from Asheville, who sings her original song, "Housewife Blues." In a special segment, Amy brings back the voices of interviews past—Judy Rhodes, Gladys Hooper, Commodore Casada, Irene Hooper, Annie Lee Bryson, and Joy Phillips Hoyle—to bring a close to our WRGC radio broadcast.
