Amy introduces the new Stories of Mountain Folk blog. Doreyl talks with Susan Morgan Leveille of Dillsboro, who tells the story of her historic family who started the Penland School of Crafts. Amy’s guest is Jack Brown Wiggins from Robbinsville, who talks about his father Walter, a farm agent in Graham County in the 1930s and ’40s. He also discusses the flood of 1940 in Jackson County. The show ends with “Down to the River to Pray” by the Muses.
