Description

Today’s program features talented young people in our community. Amy introduces the show with "Orange Blossom Special" from Ron Smith, one of the judges of the Heritage Alive! Mountain Youth Talent Contest at the Greening Up the Mountains Festival. Doreyl talks with the contest’s Best of Show winners: Zeb Ross, Julie Nelms, Sidney Parham, and Cassidy Quillen, as well as Judges’ Award–winner Addison Costa; followed by the song "Maybe" from Judy Rhodes, another judge of the contest and a member of the Asheville band the Muses. In the second half, Amy interviews the winners of the Jackson County Heritage Preservation Commission Youth Poster Contest: Cheyanna Brown, Eli Costa, and Lucy McRae. The Cockman Family’s "Thank You for Your Blessings" closes the show.
