Description

Amy shares her mother's story, "Called to Preach," about Amy's grandfather, followed by “Amazing Grace” from Jo Northup and Richard Birt of Asheville. On Creative Corner with Doreyl, guests Sue Bullock and Sonny Reighard of Stecoah discuss the Graham County program JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians); the song "Ruthie's Old Stories" from Sonny Reighard and the Valley River Boys closes the segment. Then, Amy and Bryson City–resident Paige Lynn Christie discuss tracing family mysteries through genealogical research, followed by "Blackberry Blossom” from Waynesville’s Ross Brothers. On Apple Butter, Nicole visits with Melissa Jackson who shares memories of hunting and fishing with her father; the song "My Girl, She's a Coon Hunter” from Sylva’s Keith Shuler closes the segment. On Down Another Road, Judy spends time with Charlie Brown, a master potter from Arden, who shares his long family history of turning pottery. The show concludes with "Amazing Grace” from Vance Trull of Stecoah.
