Description

Amy tells the story “Daddy Waltzed With Mother,” accompanied by “The Blue Danube Waltz.” (The old Irish song "Twilight is Stealing," performed by Tuckasegee’s Spirit-Filled Trio, follows her story.) On Creative Corner, Doreyl welcomes Nanci Leigh of Franklin, who discusses her jewelry creations; the song "Jewels" from the Butterpats of Sherrills Ford closes the segment. Amy’s guest, Dusk Weaver of Whittier, discusses the Folkmoot USA festival and his role opening the festival with a rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner.” On Apple Butter, Krista and her guest, Curt Collins of Avant Garden in Cullowhee, discuss his organic and sustainable farm; Henry Queen’s original song "Cullowhee" follows. On Down Another Road, Judy shares a story about Ralph Nelson of Avery's Creek, an old-timer who lived down the road from her when she was a child; Judy sings her original song "Rooster,” followed by "Cluck Old Hen" from Clarence Ashley and Tex (Larry) Isley. The Cockman Family of Sherrills Ford close the show with the song “Blessing You Still.”
