Description

The show opens with Amy’s story “I Am Somebody,” the third and final part of her story about she came to write her family’s history, become a storyteller, and co-found Catch the Spirit of Appalachia with her sister Doreyl. The story is accompanied by “Bridge Over Troubled Water.” Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is Doris Hunter of Franklin, who talks about the upcoming Mountain Artisans Summertime Arts & Crafts Show, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. She shares some information about the artisans and craftspeople whose work will be at the show this year. “Logan County Blues” by the Company Store follows the interview. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy hosts Ken Brown of Sutton Branch in an interview commemorating the 125th anniversary of Western Carolina University.
