The show begins with Amy’s story “My Dog, Samson,” in which she shares some memories of her dog of 15 years. “The Offering” accompanies the story. Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is Barbara Woodall of Dillard, Georgia, who recently published a book called It’s Not My Mountain Anymore, that focuses on the importance of preserving Appalachian heritage and culture. She talks about being associated with Foxfire in Rabun County, Georgia, and how she developed her passion for the culture. “Smoky Mountain Memories” by Betty Brown follows the interview. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy talks with Rick Brogden of Cowee, in Macon County. His grandfather, Tom Rickman, owned Rickman General Store, and Rick talks about its history and his memories of growing up around the store. The interview is followed by “Grandma’s Feather Bed” by the Company Store. On Stories of the Cherokee, Shawn shares the third and final part of a radio play based on the Cherokee story “Why Possum’s Tail is Bare,” perform
