The show begins with Amy’s story “A Dipper of Spring Water” about the spring that flowed behind her childhood home and how her family used it for drinking water and for refrigeration. “Let It Be” accompanies the story, and “Cool, Clear Water” by Gary Clawson follows the story. Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is Shirley Crisp of Stecoah, who shares the history of the Crisp and Ammons families in the Stecoah community. She also discusses what it was like growing up in Robbinsville and how the town has changed. The interview is followed by “Black-Eyed Susie” by the Valley River Boys. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy continues her talk with Rick Brogden of Cowee, who shares more stories about growing up around Rickman General Store, and the role that Cowee Valley School played in the community as well as its current role as a historical center. “Chasin’ Grayson” by the Company Store follows the interview.
