Description

Amy shares another story from her early married life with “A Crib – the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” with “Liebestraum” by Ronnie Evans as background music. On Creative Corner, Doreyl’s guest is once again Conrad Burrell from Sylva. As a trustee on the board for Southwestern Community College, he discusses all the opportunities the community college has to offer as well sharing future plans for the school. “Black Eyed Susie” by the Valley River Boys follows the segment. Amy talks once more with Susan Hirsch on Stories of Mountain Folk. She talks about her parents – both long-time elementary school teachers in Macon County. “We Shall Rise” by the Butterpats follows the interview. On This is My Home, Joe’s guest is Tatum Paige Lindsay, who grew up in Dillsboro and now lives and works in Egypt. Paige explains how a career path that began by researching copyright law at Harvard Law School gave her an opportunity to work abroad. “Cherokee Trail” and “Glory in the Meeting House” by Dirk Powell & Tim O’Brien follow the segment. On Down Another Road, Judy welcomes David “Pooch” Massie originally from Madison County. David talks about the genealogical research he has done on the branches of his family. The interview is followed by “When Johnny Comes Marching Home by Ron Smith. The show closes with “Johnson’s Old Gray Mule” by the Yodeling Ramblers.
