Description
Amy’s story “Unforgettable Memories” tells of her first experience with storytelling and the impact that it had on her life. The background music is “Calming Ocean” played on the harp. On Creative Corner, Doreyl talks with Melinda DeHart about the Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center. Melinda discusses the upcoming 18th annual Harvest Festival and all it has to offer, as well as other programs offered by the Center. “Rock the Billy” from the Music 2Hues collection follows the segment. Amy’s guest on Stories of Mountain Folk is once more Barbara Sears McRae from Franklin. They discuss how the Little Tennessee River Greenway was established. The interview is followed by “Home Across the Blue Ridge Mountains” by Earl Taylor & Jim McCall. On This is My Home, Joe welcomes Bob Hall, 92, who recalls the devastation of the flood of 1940 in Jackson County. Mr. Hall was interviewed on Sept. 24, 2015 and passed away on Oct. 8, 2015. “The Water is Wide” by Jo Northup & Richard Birt follows the interview. Judy’s guest on Down Another Road is Dorris Dills Beck from Cullowhee who also shares her memories of the flood of 1940 in Jackson County and the recovery afterward. The show concludes with “Twilight is Stealing” by Betty Brown.
