This image shows the town of Canton, N.C., from a slight elevation and with a mountain range in the background. This card, postmarked May 4, 1907, at Canton, was mailed to Biddeford, Maine. Canton grew quickly in population after it was chosen as the site of the Champion Fibre Plant in 1906.
