Description

In this letter of August 8, 1864, Henry Marshall Misemer (1832-1865) writes his "Dear wife," Martha J. Misemer, from Decatur, Alabama. He is surprised to hear that she has not received some of his letters and suggests that they keep their letters short from now as he is worried his letters aren't reaching her because he includes information about the movement of their company. He lets her know that he will send her money for the children's clothes, or whatever she needs.
