Description

In this letter of March 4, 1864, Felix Misemer writes his uncle Henry Marshall Misemer (1832-1865) from Helena, Arkansas to introduce himself as Philip’s son. Felix is fighting for the Union and explains that Henry Marshall is the only uncle that he has fighting for the Union and that many of his neighbors have fought for the Confederate army, including his Uncle Tom’s son, Henry, who died at Vicksburg.
