Description
In this letter of January 19, 1939, Laura Kephart replies to her son Leonard Kephart by saying no remarks are needed on her part, as her ideas are “out-moded.” She shares that she regrets she is not closer to her grandchildren, except for Barbara’s. She informs him of the death of Norma Bennet Ayers “Hibby” and Addie Winton. She says that next year she will spend the cold months visiting her children because the only way she can get out is via the milk truck and no one can come visit. She hopes that everyone can get together this summer. She adds that she has some extra blue and shoe stamps that he might be able to use with the graduation and wedding coming up.
