In this letter of May 19, 1939, Laura Kephart writes her son Leonard Kephart and urges him to see an osteopath to deal with his back pain, which she believes to be neuritis. She wishes she could help with his daughter Jane’s wedding, but her check from Macmillan doesn’t come until after July 1, and she doesn’t know how much it will be. She tells him about the prize-winning projects Barbara’s daughters Marnie and Laura have done. She mentions that she will not be staying in Ithaca next winter as it is too isolating with the snow.
