Description

John Hall (center) and Bessie Wells Hall carve on the porch of their home while a grandchild stands next to them. John Hall (1875-1962) was one of the many Brasstown Carvers from the extended Hall family, who moved from Buncombe County, NC, to the area around Brasstown in the 1920s. He married Bessie Wells (1885-1979).
