Description
This photograph of Oscar Cantrell repairing a seed spreader was taken by Doris Ulmann at the John C. Campbell Folk School, in 1933 or 1934. Cantrell was one of the first students at the Folk School, became the resident blacksmith about 1928-1929 and also fixed tools and machinery. Cantrell stayed involved with the school until his death in the early 1990's.
