Description

John Jones was a miller at the Mingus Creek Mill. He was still operating this mill at the time these photographs were taken. These 1935 photographs were made by Edouard E. Exline (1905-1960), who signed his work “E.E.E.” Exline often accompanied Charles S. Grossman (1900-1972) and Hiram Coleman Wilburn (1880-1967) on historic preservation documentation for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
