Description

In a letter to his future wife, Maria Melvina Love, on July 31, 1866, William Williams Stringfield writes primarily to convince her to not postpone their marriage date which she has set. Throughout the letter Stringfield expresses his longing to be married to Love, and states that the sooner they are wed, the better. Stringfield writes of his faith that God and his Christian ancestors will protect both of them from any adversity to come.
