Description
In this letter of July 3, 1944, Leonard Kephart (1892-1988) writes his mother, Laura Kephart to update her on his family. His youngest daughter turned 21 and he will miss her. Buddy is in San Francisco and in command of one of the Martin Mariner patrol bombers. Jane was visiting with her baby and Barbara will leave to stay with Jane for the summer soon. He saw his brother George in Chicago recently, but missed seeing his sister Cornelia there. His tells her about his job and that he is now able to send her $10.00 a month. He won’t get the Fourth of July off from work and expresses his concern about voting for Franklin Roosevelt.
