Description

In her opening story, Amy talks about drinking “Cool, Clear Water” in her youth from her grandparent’s and her own family’s springs. (Gary Clawson’s “Cool, Clear Water” closes the segment.) On Creative Corner, Doreyl’s guest is Susan Lingg from Caney Fork, a local visual artist who paints the mountains. They discuss Susan’s work and her collaboration with Dogwood Crafters in Dillsboro. (“Thank You for Your Blessings” by the Cockman Family follows the interview.) Amy’s guest on Stories of Mountain Folk is Rose Beck from Cherokee, who tells about growing up in Cullowhee and her interest in crafts. (The Company Store’s “The Old Wood-Burning Stove” closes the segment.) On Apple Butter, Nicole’s guest is Sheena Kohlmeyer, an art teacher in Swain County, who discusses details about illustrating a children’s book. (“This Little Light of Mine” by a young Mountain Faith follows the interview.) On Down Another Road, Judy’s guest is once again storyteller Ted White. He shares stories about Asheville’s Thomas Wolfe. (Banjo Mania’s “Moose” closes the segment.) The show ends with “Old Slewfoot” by the McDowell Family from Canton.
