Description
Amy’s story “Yvonne’s Wish” begins the show with another episode in her early married life. “My Heart Will Go On” is the background music. Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is Betty Brown. They talk about canning corn, beans and cabbage and desiring to pass that legacy on to their children and grandchildren. “Twilight is Stealing” by Betty Brown follows the segment. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy interviews Ella Ledford, age 9, from the Savannah community. Ella’s talents include singing, dancing and playing the violin and fiddle. She was one of the winners of the Heritage Alive Mountain Youth Talent Contest. The interview is followed by “Get Along Little Doggies” by the Butterpats. On This is My Home, Joe Rhinehart shares some of his family heritage and their love for Katie’s Falls on Ellijay in Macon County. The segment is followed by “Down to the River to Pray” by the Muses. Judy’s guest on Down Another Road is David Massie. He shares memories of his grandmother who was an herbalist and midwife. “Skillet Good and Greasy” by Dirk Powell & Tim O’Brien follows the interview and the show closes with “The Prayer Book” by Joe Deitz.
