Description
Amy shares another story from her early married life with “Welcome to the World, Veronica” about the birth of her second child. The background music is “Cats in the Cradle” played on acoustic guitar. Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is Tiffany Henry, Director of the Small Business Center at Southwestern Community College. They discuss what is available at no cost for small business, non-profits, artists and farmers at the community college level. The segment is followed by “Don’t Let Your Deal Go Down” by Jim Greer. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy interviews Ellen Moss Bryson once again. She talks about her life growing up in the mountains in Glenville. The interview is followed by “Cullowhee” by Henry Queen. Mary Sue Casey’s guest on Let Us March On is once again Bishop Adam West from Macon County. He shares his experiences in starting and pastoring God’s Holy Tabernacle. “Shadrack” by the Golden Gate Quartet follows the segment. On Down Another Road, Judy welcomes Jim Holbrook from Arden. Jim talks about some of the history of the Holbrook family. His grandfather lived in the Cowee community of Macon County before the Civil War and moved to Candler to give his children a better education. The interview is followed by “When Johnny Comes Marching Home” by the Cockman Family. The show concludes with “River Tuckasegee” by Betty Brown.
