Description

Amy begins the show with “’Ronica…I’m Your Sister”, another story from her early married life. Background music is “The Old Guitar” played on acoustic guitar. On Creative Corner, Doreyl interviews Jenny Williams, Director of Personal Enrichment and Professional Licensure at Southwestern Community College. She shares some of her personal history and they discuss the enrichment classes offered by the community college. The interview is followed by “Guy Talley” by Betty Brown. Amy welcomes Ellen Moss Bryson once again to Stories of Mountain Folk. She talks about life growing up on Pine Creek in the Glenville area. The segment is followed by “Lee Highway Blues” by Vance Trull. On Down Another Road, Judy’s guest is once again Jim Holbrook from Arden. They tell some anecdotes about living on Greasy Cove Road and Jim describes the difference between forest service land and land in a national park. “How I Long to be in the Mountains” by Mountain Faith follows the interview. Closing the show, Amy outlines the upcoming music program at the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad’s Railfest in Bryson City on Labor Day weekend September 5-6, 2015.
