Amy’s story “In the Fall of My Marriage” recounts the final years of her marriage and its eventual end. The background music is “House of the Rising Sun” by Ronnie Evans. On Creative Corner, Doreyl’s guest is Beth Fields, executive director of the Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center. Beth discusses the programs offered at the Center as well as future plans. “On the Sea of Life” by the Smoky Mountain Boys follows the interview. Amy welcomes Beth Breedlove from Bryson City to Stories of Mountain Folk. Beth is a cataloger at Western Carolina University’s Hunter Library and talks about her work with digital collections. Following the segment is “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” by the Muses. On Stories of the Cherokee Shawn shares the stories and history of Cherokee dances with example songs and drumming by Bo Taylor. Flute music is by Matthew Tooni. Judy once again welcomes Bobby McMillon to Down Another Road. They continue their discussion about ballads and their history. “Little Farmer Boy” by Sheila Kay Adams follows the interview. The show concludes with “Abiding in the Vine” by Betty Brown.
