Amy continues to share the beginning of a new direction in her life with her story “Music Under a Blue Moon.” Background music is “Blue Moon” by Ronnie Evans. Doreyl’s guest on Creative Corner is Thomas Rain Crowe from Tuckasegee. They discuss gardening, preserving food for winter and gathering firewood. Thomas briefly talks about winter being a good time to write poetry. Following the interview is “Boil Them Cabbage” by Kort & Beth McCumber. On Stories of Mountain Folk, Amy welcomes Jerry Ollis, branch manager of the Sylva branch of Entegra Bank. Jerry talks about his family, growing up in Avery County and starting his career in banking. The interview is followed by “Sail Along Blackbird” by Henry Queen. On This is My Home, Joe takes us to Webster where the town has restored the WWII marker for 11 former students of Webster School who were killed in the war. On Veterans Day, the marker was dedicated with many people gathering for the occasion, Joe one of those asked to speak. He shares the remarks he made for the ceremony. “Armed Forces Medley” by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra follows the segment. Judy’s guest on Down Another Road is Laura Graham Crockett from Black Mountain. They talk about Laura’s family and ancestors, particularly her grandmother, Della. Following the interview is “Longest Road” from the Music2Hues collection. The show concludes with “Sunday School Song” by the Cherokee National Youth Choir.
